PATRICK McGRAW
My Story.
My career as a country singer starts
in Southern California. I moved out there after college
thinkin’ I’d play guitar for a rock band,
but after a li’l while out west I found myself
spending more time writing songs, less time pickin,
and I was playing these folksy song-writer shows out
at The Highland Grounds and Mama Pajama and I got some
label interest that led to some open doors in Nashville
that led to me moving back east.
So, I got to Nashvegas and worked
construction for awhile before I signed my first writing
deal. I made a record around that time and shopped it
and that led to me singing for this awesome band THE
UNFORGIVEN that consisted of guys from Faith Hills band
and LeeAnn Womack’s band and we hit the Row hard
and shook hands with a couple labels, but you know how
bands go...and then I went to work writing songs for
CURB for awhile and that went well enough, I got a few
things recorded: I had a song in a movie, and a single
with Dean Miller (son of legend Roger Miller) that got
on the Billboard charts and put us on the road and on
the Opry (playing MY song–how cool is that?) Cool
enough, I guess, and then not long after that I went
and stood in line with 1,200 other people for the Nashville
Star auditions..and--go figure--I made it all the way
to the TV show...and I thought that was about the most
awesome thing I ever accomplished until I got a call
a couple months ago to see if I’d be interested
in doing this TV thing for CMT called ‘TEN DAYS
ON TOUR” and they said they were looking at a
bunch of people and I figured I’ll never get the
gig..and now here we are and it all came together and
I had a great time and played all kinds of great places,
and that was....pretty cool. I wonder what’ll
happen next?

JIMMY
WADE
Who is Jimmy Wade, you ask? Well,
Jimmy was born, October 19th, 1954 in Malone, NY. He
started playing guitar at the age of 8 years old, playing
“Walk Don’t Run” by the Ventures.
It was then he knew he wanted to play the guitar for
the rest of his life.
Through the years Jimmy has played
with many local bands in the area; the Bare Hill Band,
Chimera, Windcastle and the Flix (in 1987). Although
through the years he struggled to keep his career going
it was hard. “There were times that it was tough
to stay alive up here but I think it was good in a way
because it made me tough. So I never gave up,”
Jimmy says. Although Jimmy sacrificed certain things
in his life, he knew this is what he had to do.
The force that was driving him, would
not let him go. He really had no choice but to keep
pushing forward. His passion for music kept him strong.
Then in 1987, Jimmy realized that he had to pick up
the pace and head to New York City. There he would have
a better chance at getting a break. And it was there
he struggled with the best New York had to offer.
He worked there for about five years,
trying to get his foot in the door. “New York
is tough,” Jimmy said. “If you are not paying
attention you will get pushed aside and never get looked
at again. I guess it was the northern roots and hard
times that drove my soul.” He never gave up and
continued to playing all the venues in New York. And
he knocked on all the agency’s doors in the city
to give them his demo.
Only one Agency, Four Star Entertainment,
called Jimmy in for an interview. Owner Tony Caldwell
said he really like the demo, and offered to help him,
telling him that he thought he would do well in New
York. FINALLY! Jimmy got his break!
Soon he was reciving invitions to
elite parties. That’s where he met Joe Piscopo,
from Saturday Night Live, and they became good friends.
Jimmy used to go to Joe’s House and work on his
guitars and Jimmy would give him lessons on playing
the blues. One day they sat around Joe’s swimming
pool with Bill Murray, also from Saturday Night Live.
With Bill on Harmonica and Joe and Jimmy on Acoustic
Guitars, Jimmy thought to himself, ‘I’m
in the company of two great men, how lucky is that!’
“They were wonderful people to me and I was fortunate
to be their friend, “ Jimmy said.
Jimmy knew that Cindy Lauper was looking
for a guitar player to tour with so Joe put in a good
word for him to audition. And it went well! Jimmy toured
with Cindy for a while and more doors started to open
up for him. Next he worked with Eddie Money and Patty
Smyth. He did two tours with Patty in Germany and France.
While at B.B. Kings, Jimmy played
with and became frineds with Rick Derringer and met
Edgar Winter, who inspired him.
Jimmy also worked with the Spin Doctors,
Bob Segar and the Silverbullet Band. For eight weeks,
Jimmy was a fill in guitar player, playing along side
Billy Idol. (Jimmy was covering for Steve Stevens who
had an operation.) His first gig with Billy was at the
Stonepony Asbury Park in NJ.
In 2006, Jimmy went to Denmark with
Big Country for three months. Jimmy’s own band
called, The Jimmy Wade Band, backed up the James Gang
with Joe Walsh from the Eagles at the Beacon Theatre.
Jimmy released two CD’s in New
York, the first one called, Horizons which is instrumental
and the second CD is called Ride. One of the tracks
was used in an episode for, Dog the Bounty Hunter Show.
In addition, Jimmy has also done soundtracks fro Honda,
Mercades Benz and two shows on PBS television.
Jimmy made an appearance on the Conan
O’Brian show as a Guitarist for the Greg Mayo
Band. (Greg’s father, was the late great Bob Mayo,
formerly with Peter Frampton.) In the fall of 2006,
Jimmy had a ten year run of touring and studio work
and all was going well. But now at 53, Jimmy has decided
he has done what he set out to do; he did what he wanted
to do and proved he could do it. And he wanted to settle
down a bit and go back home to start a recording studio,
Studio 15 (see ad on page 2).
Currently, Jimmy has moved back home
to enjoy the North Country, run his studio, ride his
Harley Davidson and feel the fresh air on his face.
So now when people ask you, Who is
Jimmy Wade? And where has he been? You know the answer
to that!
Jimmy plans on a forming a new band
this year to play all the local hangouts, he used to
play at. He says, “It is nice to be back in the
Great White North!” ---

ADAM
D. TUCKER
"Country Music
Never Looked or Sounded So Good!"
Appearing Live in our area is up and
coming Country Music sensation Adam D. Tucker. He will
be in the North Country to do two shows. On Friday,
March 14th he will be performing at the Brasshorse Restaurant
in Akwesasne and on Saturday, March 15th he will be
performing at the Northern Lights Night Club in Brasher
Falls.
Adam grew up in a small town outside
of Charleston, West Virginia. He says, “It was
a little town with one stop light, a Wendy’s and
High School Friday Night Football.” When Adam
was between the ages of 4 and 7, he listened to a Johnny
Cash cassette tape that he just couldn’t get enough
of. He even remembers singing with his mother. They
would sing Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton duets. Even
though he says he was shy, she’d make him do it,
and truthfully he did love it.
And then one day, he got the opportunity
that most musicians only dream about. A promoter in
Jacksonville, Florida was so impressed with him that
she sent him to a record producer in Nashville.
Adam is dedicated to his music and says he will continue
to stay focused on his goal of being signed with a major
label. He sold everything, even his corvette, to continue
following his dream. That is the definition of a true
musician and performer.
His persistence, dedication and belief
in himself are what have carried him thus far. He strongly
believes that the only thing that can stop him would
be himself. Adam says “Every time a door opens
I go in and it’s just a matter of time. If you
work hard enough, anything is possible.”
When he is on stage, Adam is an entertainer,
“My band is a group of fantastic musicians for
which I have a great deal of respect,” Adam proudly
says. They are drummer, Sonny Williams from West Virginia,
lead guitar player Jim Mason, originally from Brunswick,
GA, now calling Nashville his home. On rhythm guitar
is Jeff Rakes from Columbus, OH and on bass guitar is
Jeb Shelton from Knoxville, TN.
Adam sees his music career as a business.
“It’s my baby” he says. He plans to
go as far as he possible can with it. “It’s
the hardest job I’ve ever had. I perform and then
go onto the next one, but I enjoy it. Having the opportunity
to do a show with Blake Shelton or play at the Hard
Rock Café are rewards for working as hard as
I do.” In addition to the enjoyment of being on
stage with his own idols he enjoys meeting so many good
people and enjoying so many good experiences. His fans
are fantastic. Recently when doing a show at the Florida
State Fair two families flew down from Bullalo, NY just
to see him perform.
When he plays Johnny Cash, Lynyard
Skynyard or The Temptations you hear that Adam gives
each song a sound and feel of its own. A little pop,
fresh, folk and new country. Adam tries to make sure
that each show is unique with a little of everything
for everyone.
He’s been on the road for nearly
a month and he is looking forward to going home to be
with Mom and Dad and for some home cooked meals before
returning to Nashville. When he returns, he’ll
be working with Byron Hills, his song writing partner,
to do some solo writing. Byron has written number one
hits for Gary Allen, Joe Nichols and many more.
Adam says, “We are very excited
about performing in Northern NY on March 14th &
15th. I am very grateful and appreciative that I’ve
been booked there! Our performances at Northern Lights
and the Brasshorse will be a blast! We have such a great
blend of music. Fans of Tim McGraw, Kenny Chesney, Johnny
Cash, Lynyard Skynyard, ZZ Top and Toby Keith will LOVE
the show!” Adam will also be playing a few songs
from his recent album “What Makes a Man.”
Adam is pure entertainer, having a
great time performing onstage. He enjoys putting on
his hat and tight jeans for high energy performances.
His 2008 schedule is currently being
planned. For more information on tour dates please visit
www.adamdtucker.com or www.myspace.com/adamdtucker.
You won’t want to miss his shows coming up in
