Flack to receive arts Recognition Award

CantonAmy Flack of Norwood, NY has been selected to receive SLC Arts' annual arts Recognition Award

for her dedicated service to the arts in our region.

Originally from Lewiston, Maine, she studied Theatre Management at Ithaca College. Flack served

as Executive Director of the Thousand Islands Performing arts Fund at the Clayton Opera House from

2006–2011 and has held the position of Executive Director of Community Performance Series in Potsdam

for the past four years. Flack has been very involved with SLC Arts over the years, serving as a board

member from 2004–2006, a panelist for the NYSCA regrant program from 2007–2008, and a Regional

Advisory Board member from 2010–2012. In addition, she is a board member of TAUNY and the New York

State arts Presenters Advisory Board.

The arts Recognition Award is an honor bestowed annually by the SLC Arts Board of Directors to

acknowledge individuals who have made significant contributions to the arts and cultural life in our region.

SLC Arts will celebrate Flack's selection for the 2015 arts Recognition Award on March 7 during their Art

Jam event at Best Western University Inn, 90 East Main Street in Canton. For more information about the
