Amvets 2nd Annual Border Fest

Join us on September 10th 2016 at the Amvets for our 2nd Annual Border Fest from Noon to 8pm. Proceeds to be donated to The Veterans Coalition of Franklin County established in 2011 by founder Dave Mahoney. Proceeds will be utilized to help our veterans in Franklin County with the basic needs, such as shelter, food, clothing and education on the services within the county.

There will be live music from local talent: master of Ceremonies DJ Todd Johnson, Out of the Blue Band, Todd Barney, Kearstin Ali, Hal Shannon, Angus and Andrew LaMora, Tommy & Jeremy Hutchins, Rich Gast, Mike Mc Caffery, Jordan Black, Amger in Green, Jonathan Gordon, Grim Latimer, Lou Dacques, Tiny Castle, Domick Monette and Shelley Shutler & The Not So Perfects.

Memorial Ride for JR Riley and Fred Clemons sponsored by the Amvets Riders Post 8, kick stands up at 11am and return to the Amvets around 2pm. $10.00 for single and $20.00 for a couple, lunch is included. Registration will start at 9am on September 10th 2016.

Along with live music and the memorial ride there will be games for all ages, vendors on site along with food being prepared by the Sons of the Amvets.

Franklin County Veterans Coalition is a program of Community Connections of Franklin County which has grown to include coalition collaborative partners such as: Malone Amvets Post 8, Malone American Legion, Homeward Bound, Soldier On, Veterans Administration, Honor Flight of New York, State Veterans Service Office, Franklin County Veterans Service Office and Franklin County Community Service.

Lee Rivers Executive Director of Community Connections is very grateful for all the work Suzanne LaPoint-Steven has put into this benefit to help ensure it is a success. Suzanne is dedicated to helping our local veterans without a doubt or should would not have put in so much time and resources to this benefit. Rivers would also like to thank everyone at the Malone Amvets for their support and for always being a great collaborative partner to Community Connections of Franklin County not only working with us for the Veterans Coalition, they have also supported the Franklin County Suicide Prevention Coalition.
