Ives Park Concert Series Begins Second Year on August 26 with Opening Festival

What a Raquette Music and Dance presents the 2nd annual Ives Park Concert Series, musical performances held on six consecutive Saturday evenings starting August 26 and ending September 30. There is also a children's concert on Sunday, September 10 at 3 PM. The performances begin at 7 PM unless otherwise noted. The concerts are held in the Ives Park Gazebo on the banks of the Raquette River in downtown Potsdam with rain location at the United Methodist Church at 26 Main St in Potsdam - check Facebook and the website for rain location updates.

The opening festival concert starts at 3 PM on Saturday, August 26 with three bands: Bee Children, Ten Speed Taxi, and The Currys. The remaining concerts are Crescent Street Jam, September 2; Northbound, September 9; Animal Crackers, September 10 at 3 PM; Funk Mode, September 17; Crane Latin Ensemble, September 23; and Waydown Wailers, September 30.

All concerts are free, family-friendly and open to the public. Please bring a lawn chair or blanket. There will be a bucket passed for donations, and all donations over $50 will be recognized in future reports and programs. All donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed.

The Ives Park Concert Series is supported by the graphic design work of Catherine LaPointe-Vollmer of LaPointe Illustrations and sound engineering by Marcus Alvarez of M.A. Entertainment.
