We welcome "Uncle John" Moyer to our family at Fourth Coast Entertainment Magazine as a contributing writer. Uncle John is the CEO of Uncle John's bands Agency located in Raleigh, NC.

Uncle John grew up in Central New York, and resided in his early years in Cazenovia, NY. Uncle John began managing local bands after high school and has made a lifetime commitment and career to the music industry going on 45 years.

He founded Luvlite Productions/John Moyer Management which he ran until 1996 and was a catalyst for creating and developing the "Tribute Band" circuit throughout North America. Some of the acts that came from CNY that he managed were Crazy Diamond "The Real reflections of Pink Floyd"& The Homel-Alaniz Band. In addition, Uncle John was the Tour Manager for Benny Mardones and represented Benny & Robert Tepper while residing in Central New York.

Uncle John also promoted shows every Thursday at The Club Chameleon in Syracuse with K-Rock with Luvlite Productions Presents which brought National & Regional acts to Syracuse every Thursday for 3 years. During that time he started Luvlite Records and produced a released, numerous Albums for acts like Robin Fear and The Homel-Alaniz Band. During this time he also provided his services to Apollo Films and the Thom Mount Company where he and his wife Darlene worked as production and personal assistants to actors Patrick Dempsey, Courtney Gains, Helen Slater and Lee Remick.

In 1996 Uncle John merged his companies with the Showtime Agency located in Raleigh, NC and relocated his family there as he started up a new management division for the Showtime Agency. John became the responsible agent for dozens of Nation and Regional acts such as the DeadRingers (featuring members of the Grateful Dead, New Riders of the Purple Sage & Big Brother & The Holding Company) and Frank Zappa's Band The Band From Utopia.

In 2008 Uncle John founded Shakedown Street a Music Venue designed to develop up and coming National acts in the Raleigh, NC market. Shakedown Street quickly became the spot to see entertainment 365 days a year with capacity shows every night!

During this time Uncle John decided that his calling was to return full time to management and representation to help with the careers of bands in need of further development, and Uncle John's bands Agency was formed in 2013. John now manages and represents a roster of National & Regional acts.
