Lush Life

"Avalon," an exhibit of new paintings by Georgeanne Gaffney, will be on display at The Adirondack Artists Guild during the month of February. But don't think of knights in shining armor and damsels in distress; these pieces are a glimpse into the artist's view of the romantic and mysterious places found in nature.

Detailed observations of the microcosmic life of moss to expansive river and pond works will pull viewers out of winter and into an enchanted world of lush colors, textures, and dappled light.

Georgeanne's exhibit showcases her development and transition into a new style that continues her exploration of the human connection to the natural world.

Kick off the first night of Winter Carnival and come to the opening reception on Friday February 5th from 5-7 PM. The show will run through March 1.

The Adirondack Artists Guild is a cooperative retail art gallery representing a diverse group of regional artists residing and working in the Tri-Lakes region of the Adirondack Park.
