The Nashville Sounds of Boot Hill

This 2-song CD was put together as a tribute to Wanda Chase who died in 2014. Wanda was the loving wife of Pete Chase, Lead Guitarist in the musical ensemble Boot Hill. Other band members include Lynn Conant on Pedal Steel, Wayne Prey on Bass, Jerry Sequin on drums, with Lead Vocals by Floyd Sherman. Reminiscent of old Hank Williams Sr., the two songs-"Lady Out of Love" and "Welcome to My World"-both written by Floyd Sherman, share sweetness and sadness, sad that she's gone but grateful for the many good years. "Welcome to My World" is particularly poignant, looked at in retrospect, with its words of excited anticipation announcing the beginning of a romance and rhapsodizing about the happy couple spending all those future years together. The sound is clear and sharp; the CD was recorded at Judson Street Studios in Canton, New York, and produced by Pete Chase and Glen Anderson. The Nashville Sounds of Boot Hill is available from Amazon, CD Baby, and Houndog Records. For additional information, contact Chase at
