A sister show to the very popular Craft, Food & Wine Show held annually at Cheel Arena at Clarkson is going to be even larger than it was last year, and have more vendors than any show in the North Country. The Tastes & Talents of the North Country Holiday Show is scheduled for Friday December 9 & Saturday December 10 at the Maxy Hall Field House at SUNY Potsdam. Designed to offer a ‘Buy Local’ experience, the show features hand crafted and homemade items.

Event organizer Jo Ann Roberts from the St. Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce notes that ‘there is something for everyone, and you are certain to find unique gifts for your loved ones – from jewelry to cooking spices, woodwork to wine.’ The new venue can accommodate approximately 160 booths, which is even larger than the Craft, Food & Wine Show at Cheel Arena at Clarkson, which has 140 booths (120 vendors), including 9 wineries offering tastings. That show will be October 21 & 22 this year.

‘These events are designed to provide sales and marketing opportunities to local businesses, artisans and crafters. We work year round to develop the event and market it and we attract thousands of people that come to shop’ said Brooke Rouse, Executive Director of the St. Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce.

Vendors interested in reserving a booth at the Tastes & Talents of the North Country Holiday Show are encouraged to contact Jo Ann Roberts at or 315-386-4000. The event and vendor packet can also be found on the calendar (Dec 9 & 10) on Booths are $75 for St. Lawrence County Chamber members and $85 for non-members. The Craft, Food & Wine Show has been sold out for several months.
