St. John's Conservatory Theater (SJCT), now in rehearsals for their upcoming fall musical comedy TWIST, celebrates another generation of actors gracing their stage.

Rozalyn Dwyer makes her début at the tender age of three playing Annie Sikes, the daughter of Nancy & Bill Sikes. Created for this stage production, the character of little Annie appears in a crucial yet brief moment during the song, OH TO HAVE A CHILD.

“It’s a very difficult scene,” says Angela Dwyer, who plays Nancy Sikes and who is Rozalyn’s mother in real life. “Nancy is torn between her love for her husband Bill and her maternal instincts for Oliver. In our version, Annie represents the child she always wanted. It’s a box of tissues moment, believe me.”

Shelly Murdock, who plays Mrs. Sowerberry, also appears onstage with her daughter Macy, who plays one of the Artful Dodger's pick-pocketing mates, Rip Torn. "It's our third time onstage together," explains Shelly, "as we appeared together in A Christmas Carol and in KREEPY HALLOW. Having the opportunity to work together is a dream come true for both of us."

Of course, with family members onstage and other families traveling to see their relatives before a live audience, St. John's Conservatory Theater's motto, "We bring families together," is an on and off stage double entendre.

Other cast members having shared the SJCT stage with one another include Christopher Dwyer and daughter Rozalyn, Katrina Putman and son and daughter Grant and Maeve, Mike Wills and daughter Grace, Rebecca Bascom and daughters Elizabeth and Madalyn, and Karen Fischbeck Carmany and daughter Johanna.

TWIST is a brand new musical twist on the Dickens' tale with an original book, music, and lyrics by award-winning writer/composer Richard O'Donnell (under his pen name Brazillia R. Kreep), and will open this October for a three-week run (October 7, 8, 14, 15, 21, 22 at 7 pm and matinees October 9, 16 & 23 at 2 pm).

The cast includes Chris Rodriguez as Oliver Twist, Hailey Weber as Agnes Brownlow, Cole Siebels (Gouverneur) as the Artful Dodger, Richard O'Donnell as Fagin, Angela Conzone Dwyer as Nancy Sikes, Christopher Dwyer as Bill Sikes, Shelly Murdock as Mrs. Sowerberry, Ryan Woodard as Mr. Sowerberry, Krista Kelly as Mrs. Brownlow, Angelina Schembry (Lisbon) as Nelly, Grace Brunet (Morristown) as Napper, Gabby Ott as Minerva, Madison Miller as Newt, Conner Grenier as Octavius, Macy Murdock as Rip Torn, Megan Gardner as Hamstring, Jennifer Ann as Prudence, and introducing Rozalyn Dwyer as Anne Sikes.

SJCT principal creative staff includes Executive Producer and Director R. O'Donnell, Musical Director and Choreographer Angela Conzone Dwyer, Arranger and Orchestrator Ryan C. McNally, Scenic and Prop Designer Stephen Chambers, Costume and Makeup Designer Karen Fischbeck (Heuvelton), Technical Director and Production Coordinator Christopher Dwyer, Stage Manager Shelly Murdock, and Props Master Tonya Ott. Collectively they have over five decades of professional theatrical and academic experience including regional, stock, bus and truck, off-off-Broadway, off-Broadway, and Broadway stages.

Other vital SJCT personnel includes Rector Dr. Fr. Michael O'Donnell, assistant Technical Director Ryan Woodard, additional Costumes Ann Losurdo, assistant Props Emma Murray, assistant Costumer Hannah Gardner, house manager Sheila LaMere, and general manager Bill LaMere.

Tickets go on sale in mid-August and will be available electronically at for $10.00 (under TWIST or ST. JOHN'S CONSERVATORY THEATER) or at the door the night of the performances for a suggested donation of $15. For more information, please visit St. John's Conservatory Theater's Facebook page:
